FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR RATING
This course, when doing it full-time and with hard work and dedication, can be completed within 4 months and will then give you the opportunity to provide training to those who want to fly. It is an excellent way to build confidence in yourself and improve on your flying skill set and gives you a head start on your career growth!
- Hold a valid South African CPL (A)
- Holder of a Class 1 medical certificate
- 20 Hours dual flight instruction (Patter) conducted by a Grade 1 or 2 flight instructor
- 80 hrs of training, divided into 40 hours classroom preparation and 40 hours home-assignments and research.
Some of the best aviators in the industry started their careers as flight instructors, and today still do so for their respective companies as training captains
or in free time just for the love of flying training. To teach someone how to fly is an honorable experience, humbling in a way but rewarding mostly. The day you see your knowledge and skill imparted onto your student, you feel a sense of pride and achievement that is equal to none.
